Crowdfunding Afraid Of Failure?

So I’m working on this new project and planning to launch in the next little while and part of the project requires me to research places like Kickstarter and Indiegogo about the least successful projects that are on both sites (In case your interested, this project was spurred by my post Failure Is More Interesting Than Success) I just went back to Kickstarter to take a look and see how I could find these least successful projects and guess what? They seem to have redesigned the site to make it almost impossible to find these projects! read more

Failure Is More Interesting Than Success

Failure is Often More Fun, Too.

I used to watch American Idol a long time ago, but I wasn’t looking for, or even rooting for, the winners. In fact, once the show had gotten past the huge masses of people who tried out for it, and moved to Hollywood to pare the singers down even further, I often stopped watching. If you ask me, the most interesting acts are the ones we don’t see, or barely see. We see some of those acts if the producers just happen to come across someone who can be laughed at (remember William Hung). We see little snippets of really bad singers, or outrageous acts etc. What about all those people we don’t see? My guess is that there are a ton of gold in them thar’ hills. Some of that failure was really interesting. read more
